Cineplex is offering free popcorn one day this month at cinemas across Canada in celebration of National Popcorn Day.

There's only one thing better than going to the movies and enjoying a bag of buttery popcorn. And that's enjoying a free bag of buttery popcorn.

"Cineplex knows that nothing goes better together than movies and popcorn – whether it is for a solo night in or out or with friends and family. In 2023, Cineplex guests nationwide enjoyed 34 billion kernels," Cineplex shared in communications with MTL Blog.

Well, on January 19, 2024, Cineplex will be at it again — offering free bags of popcorn to those enjoying a movie at the cinema or at home.

"When attending a movie in person on January 19th, Scene+ members can visit the concession and scan their membership card to receive a free small bag of Cineplex’s famous popcorn to enjoy," Cineplex said.

For those who prefer to enjoy a movie from the comfort of their own home, you can also score a free bag of popcorn. Cineplex is offering a bonus bag of popcorn for all Uber Eats and SkipTheDishes food orders on National Popcorn Day.

To claim your free bag of popcorn on January 19, all you have to do is download the Skip or UberEats app and search 'Cineplex'. Go ahead and order your favourite movie snacks and a small bag of popcorn will automatically be added to your cart.

The free popcorn will only be available on Friday the 19th, so get your buttered kernels on while supplies still last.
